What worked

  • Four Human Library events spread along a campervan route across the south of Portugal.

A library where the books are people

A campervan became a travelling library about living lightly and caring for the planet. Across the south of Portugal, four stops each opened a Human Library where readers borrowed stories about eco friendly, minimalist lifestyles and asked how those choices work in everyday life.

How does it work? Readers choose a book from the catalogue and borrow it for a timed conversation. Respect comes first, books decide what they share, and nobody has to agree. The point is to understand.
